Real Dreams
890526 dream
With T____ in a place with beautiful view of Harbor. I leave the dinner table, while the host goes
downstairs, to see the view in the living room window. The harbor is being obscured by a gray cloud
that comes right down to the water, right up to the window. I return to tell T____.
Later I go back to see if I can breathe – air is full of cloud substance even inside the windows, like
dust.
[I was reading article about the Dust Bowl years before I fell asleep.]
Spilled a little water while trying to put something away. In cleaning it up, found lots of water on
floor, not just what I had caused. Asked two people a man and woman, to excuse me while I spread out
a large piece of fabric on the water to absorb and hold it while it evaporated. They assisted me.
Out on the highway on foot – with T____. When we first get on, we see a contraption a man is moving
–like a tank, with woman in front who has to stop because she has dirt or junk piled on the back of her
neck where her head sticks out of the "tank." I offer assistance, but she declines.
As we proceed on highway, on foot, R____ and others are with us. I see a plastic girl's toy – ornament
in the trash that looks just like R____'s – I even pick it up, but R____ keeps walking – I decide to leave
it there, that even if it was hers, she didn't need it. I instruct the children to behave themselves.
Then, rooting through drawers for nice shirt and shorts, find some.
890526 Interpretation
1. Prospects are beautiful, but obscured with troubling emotion right now. The difficulty is all I can
see at the moment. I cannot breathe freely.
2. The (relatively harmless) mess I made has gotten out of hand – out of proportion. I am stabilizing
the mess and the man and woman will wait while I clean it up. [ I don’t know them yet.]
3. I have to stop our successful forceful drive for a moment because of the dirt/junk on my head (the
pain in the neck is externally caused). Nevertheless, we are proceeding.
4. I am not going to retrieve something that is of cheap material, like everyone else's stuff – it is just
clutter. Leave junk behind. Leave old "toys" and ornaments behind.
5. I will find a way to present myself comfortably.

Sitting with T____ at Italian restaurant , R____ sitting with her Grandma, B____ at a third table. For
some reason, B____ and R____ begin taunting me – I want them to behave- B____ is saying "baseball,
baseball, baseball" and wandering around. Food is delivered, but I only get a cup of coffee- somehow I
didn’t get a chance to order. I get angry and get in car and pull up in front of the carryout and gesture
for R____ to come get in the car. She says, Oh, Mommy. They found my (pocket book). She saved one
for me. She went to get it. I said go get your clothes (I could see her jacket and such on a table through
the window) and get in car.
At some kind of reservoir/park, we are trying to save their two bicycles/or take them with us. At one
point I do a sort of Tarzan thing on a rope swing. A woman walks to center of room where I am
standing by rope and (offers assistance?)

Trying to write equipment section of proposal. H____ finally gets started.
In complex older house/building. Trying to offer a job to someone, who asked me to go find someone
(man and woman, hippie style, who live or work somewhere nearby – they are pretty popular) and
bring them to the phone. Potential employee is on hold.
Meanwhile, I am eating, sitting outside on steep hill that they are (carpeting?) fixing so people can sit.
I climb up on a picnic table, steadying myself with a hand on JP’s shoulder, to see what turn out to be
big pink clouds in the valley between two mountains.
I remember the phone call and race back inside. On my way in, one girl out of a long row of girls on
the phone tells me I've got a phone call – (from the man and woman) but someone else in the row takes
the call to chat.
In one semi-basement area I become aware that a pipe has broken and that water is spilling
everywhere. The problem is that the pipe is excessively long and not well supported.
Earlier, R____ was like a doll with large roll-awake eyes.
